Lead Accountant

Key Responsibilities:

• Maintain accurate accounting records for assets, liabilities, payables, receivables, cash flow, taxes, income, and expenses.

• Ensure correct calculation and posting of payroll, business trips, sick leaves, and final settlements.

• Organize and maintain proper archiving of accounting documents.

• Prepare and submit VAT, Property, Profit, Simplified Tax, and Statistical reports to relevant authorities.

• Provide management with financial analysis and reports (variance analysis, cost analysis, etc.) as needed.

• Perform month-end financial operations (reconciliations, journal entries, etc.).

• Analyze expenses and income, identify budget deviations, and report to management.

• Reporting visualization financial modelling and scenario simulation

• Participate in budget preparation and expense management by assigned accounts.

• Prepare necessary documentation and data for audit reviews.

• Contribute to ERP system implementation and adaptation.

• Actively participate in preparing financial statements — balance sheet, cash flow statement, profit & loss statement, and management reports.

• Ensure accurate and timely execution of local and international payments.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or Economics

• Up to 5 years of relevant work experience

• Fluency in Azerbaijani and good command of English

• Advanced proficiency in MS Office (especially Excel), Power BI / Power Query is highly desirable.

Other:

• Strong knowledge of Tax Code and Accounting Standards

• Proficiency in 1C, SAP, and other accounting software

• Good experience in reporting and data visualization

• High sense of accuracy, responsibility, and analytical thinking

• Ability to plan work, set priorities, and meet deadlines

• Strong communication and teamwork skills

Working Conditions:

• Working Hours: 5 days a week, from 09:00 to 18:00.
