Commercial Specialist

Job Purpose
Experienced Commercial Specialist responsible for handling commercial, contractual, and financial aspects of business activities to ensure profitability, compliance, and risk control. The role supports sales, tendering, and project teams by developing competitive commercial proposals, negotiating terms, and monitoring contract performance.
Key Responsibilities
Commercial & Contract Management
Prepare, review, and negotiate commercial terms and conditions, including pricing, payment terms, delivery, and warranties
Ensure contracts comply with company policies, legal requirements, and risk standards
Manage contract amendments, variations, and renewals
Tendering & Bidding
Lead the commercial preparation of tenders, RFQs, and RFPs
Analyze tender documentation and coordinate inputs from technical, legal, and finance teams
Prepare cost breakdowns, pricing models, and commercial offers
Support bid evaluations and clarification processes
Financial & Pricing Analysis
Conduct cost analysis, margin calculations, and pricing strategies
Monitor revenue forecasts, and profitability
Identify cost optimization and value-creation opportunities
Risk & Compliance
Identify and mitigate commercial, financial, and contractual risks
Ensure adherence to procurement rules, tender laws, and internal compliance standards
Participate in internal audits and contract reviews
Stakeholder Coordination
Act as a key commercial interface between sales, legal, finance, procurement, and operations
Support negotiations with customers, partners, and suppliers
Maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders
Qualifications & Experience
Education
Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Economics, Finance, Law, or a related field
Master’s degree or professional certifications are an advantage
Experience
3–7 years of experience in a commercial, contract, tendering, or sales support role
Proven experience in contract negotiation, pricing, and tender management
Industry experience (O&G, energy, construction, telecom, logistics, etc.) is a strong plus

Strong knowledge of commercial contracts and financial principles
Advanced Excel and financial modeling skills
Solid understanding of procurement and tender processes

Clear, confident business communication skills
Languages
English, Azerbaijani – Professional working proficiency
Russian, Turkish – Advantage
