Job Description

  • The Exploitation Manager isresponsible for ensuring optimal reserves recovery, cost effective development schemes and integrated solutions from multiple disciplines. The Exploitation Manager supervises reservoir and exploitation-related engineering, geology and geophysics applications as well as field development planning and execution. This person interacts with customer management on asset-related issues.

  • Successful Position holders are excellent communicators, enjoy solving problems, and work well both independently and in a team.

Roles and Responsibilities:

  • Provide technical and management oversight of subsurface, drilling, completion, remedial, workover, stimulation activities, reservoir management and exploitation planning, surface facilities and production engineering.

  • Supervise Subsurface, Drilling, Production and Facilities Engineering personnel assigned to assets, and participate in the related delivery processes.

  • Develop strong strategic relationships with internal and external stakeholders.

  • Implement portfolio and project control processes for budget, scope and schedule.

  • Understand the asset management, capital planning and field development execution concepts.

  • Communicate regularly with SPM team.

  • Ensure asset management processes are in place and applied in all aspects of risk, contractor, human resources, procurement and contracting, quality, communications, etc.

  • Maximize the value of the asset by managing cost, schedule and quality.

  • Maximize the beneficial synergies within SPM, with other departments and between assets in the region.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Petroleum engineering, Geology, or related discipline (Master’s preferred).

  • Minimum 15 years of experience in oil & gas operations, with strong exposure to exploitation and field development.

  • Proven experience in asset management, reservoir optimization, and integrated project delivery.

  • Strong background in multidisciplinary operations (subsurface, drilling, production, and facilities).

  • Previous leadership experience managing cross-functional teams.

  • Experience in complex environments (onshore/offshore) is highly desirable.

Job Description The Subsurface Manager is responsible for petroleum engineering and subsurface related functions of an asset to ensure effective reserves development and recovery managing the full delivery of the Field development plan, overseeing the management of production for a field, and identifying ways to extract more. This role requires a multidisciplinary approach, must integrate various expertise to ensure the success of the operation. The manager needs a full understanding framework of the reservoir, Identifying and planning locations, interpreting data to define the structure, analyzing data for properties, and predicting production potential using simulations to analyze field behavior. Roles and Responsibilities: Supervise activities in production, reservoir or exploitation related engineering, geology and geophysics applications, specifically subsurface characterization for asset evaluation. Serve as technical lead for the conceptual design of drilling, completion, reservoir and production engineering feasibility and proposal planning. Qualifications and Experience: Degree in Petroleum Engineering, Reservoir Engineering, Geoscience, or a related field. Minimum 15 years of experience in subsurface, reservoir, or geoscience roles within the oil and gas industry. Strong background in reservoir engineering or geoscience with experience across both project and operational environments. Proven leadership experience managing technical teams. Ability to integrate Field Development Plans and influence internal and external stakeholders. Strong communication, presentation, and stakeholder management skills. Enhanced Oil Recovery (EOR) experience is an advantage. Fluent in English. SLB is an equal opportunity employer. Laboratory Helper (Contractor)

Conditions: Job type: Fixed Working hours: 08:00 – 17:00 Working days: Monday to Friday (5 days per week) Overtime: May be required upon mutual agreement Location: Baku, Azerbaijan Roles and Responsibilities: Monitoring cementing material loadouts and backloads. Gathering required samples. Performing sample collection from client facilities, the seaport, and the airport. Managing disposal of expired and excess materials. Cleaning and recycling sample containers (bottles and buckets). Maintaining and updating both electronic and physical sample databases. Collecting lab orders from the commercial store. Gathering samples for RPS (sand control chemicals). Cleaning and preparing lab equipment essential for daily testing (slurry mixing cups, TT cups, UCA cells, Rheometers). On occasion, work outside regular hours may be required to collect urgent samples from remote locations. Qualifications and Experience: Bachelor’s degree or recent graduate are welcomed; however, a high school education or equivalent is sufficient. This role is suitable for individuals who want to start their career and grow within a laboratory environment. Previous experience in sampling or as a helper in drilling, laboratory, or field operations is an advantage. Willingness to perform manual and routine tasks. Physically fit and able to lift, carry, and handle materials safely. Basic awareness of workplace health, safety standards. Ability to follow instructions and work under supervision. Ability to work at different locations such as laboratories, ports, and airport facilities. Basic communication skills and ability to work as part of a team. Basic computer skills are an advantage.
