Primary Drama Teacher (Full-Time)

Application Requirements:

• A bachelor’s degree in Theatre Arts, Drama Education, Performing Arts, or a related field.

• A teaching certification or licensure

• Previous experience in theatre, whether as an actor, director, stage manager, or technician, is highly valuable.

• Experience working with children or youth in a theatrical or educational setting, such as directing school plays, leading drama clubs, or teaching drama workshops, is also advantageous.

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills

• An understanding of child development and educational psychology

• Creativity, flexibility, and the ability to adapt teaching methods to engage students with different learning styles

Main responsibilities:

• Prepare and teach interesting drama lessons suitable for students’ age and learning level.

• Create lesson plans and activities that help students improve creativity, communication, teamwork, and confidence.

• Teach basic acting, movement, voice control, improvisation, and stage performance skills.

• Organize drama games and activities that encourage students to express themselves and work together.

• Lead rehearsals for school performances and support students in preparing their roles and performances.

• Maintain a positive and supportive classroom environment.

• Set clear classroom rules and support good student behavior.

• Manage lesson and rehearsal time effectively to keep students active and engaged.

• Give helpful feedback to students to improve their drama and performance skills.

• Keep records of student attendance, participation, and performance progress.

• Support and organize school productions, including rehearsals, costumes, stage setup, lighting, sound, and props.
