Position Objective

  • The Planning Engineer is responsible for maintaining schedule integrity and supporting structured short-term planning for installation operations. The role ensures that project execution is accurately reflected in the schedule and that planning remains aligned with operational targets, sequencing logic, and execution constraints. Actively monitors field performance and raises deviations, risks, and planning inconsistencies to protect delivery targets.

Role Overview

The Planning Engineer maintains and updates the detailed project schedule using MS Project or an equivalent planning tool. The role monitors field performance against plan and ensures that scheduling logic reflects verified operational conditions.

The position functions as a coordination interface between planning, field teams, logistics, and warehouse operations to maintain execution stability and prevent planning gaps.

Deviations from plan must be recorded, structured, and communicated to support transparent performance control. The Planning Engineer has authority to challenge sequencing, readiness assumptions, and reported progress where inconsistencies or risks are identified.

Core Responsibilities

The Planning Engineer is responsible for:

  • Maintaining and updating the project schedule on a regular and as-required basis

  • Incorporating daily and weekly installation progress into the master schedule

  • Preparing structured short-term and two-week look-ahead plans

  • Monitoring planned versus actual performance and documenting deviations

  • Highlighting recurring performance trends and operational constraints

  • Identifying schedule risks and contributing to data-based corrective planning decisions

  • Coordinating with logistics and operational teams to confirm readiness and sequencing

  • Supporting structured progress reporting and schedule documentation control

The role requires proactive identification of constraints that may impact installation sequencing or productivity.

Key outputs of the position include:

  • Updated master schedule

  • Structured look-ahead plans

  • Planned versus actual performance summaries

  • Documented schedule deviations and risk inputs

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or a related technical field

  • Experience in project planning or scheduling within construction, utilities, infrastructure, or operational environments.

  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel (mandatory)

  • Practical experience with MS Project or equivalent planning tools; experience with alternative scheduling platforms will be considered

  • Fluency in Russian and English

  • Structured analytical thinking and attention to detail

  • Ability to operate effectively in a dynamic execution environment

Working Conditions:

  • Schedule: 5-day work week (Monday – Friday);

  • Working Hours: 08:00 AM – 05:00 PM;

The role supports uninterrupted field execution by aligning supply readiness with daily installation targets. In addition to material readiness control, the position monitors vehicle allocation, dispatch timing, and route efficiency to support optimal field utilization and minimize non-productive time. Core Responsibilities The Installation Logistics Coordinator is responsible for: Monitoring daily installation demand against available meter stock and prepared units Coordinating meter flow between warehouse, assembly, and dispatch Confirming readiness of materials and tools prior to daily deployment Tracking stock levels and identifying potential shortages or bottlenecks Coordinating daily vehicle allocation in alignment with scheduled installation clusters Monitoring vehicle utilization and route efficiency to reduce idle time and travel delays Reviewing dispatch timing and identifying systemic delays affecting team start times Documenting logistics-related constraints impacting installation productivity Maintaining structured records of material movement, dispatch activity, and vehicle performance The role requires proactive coordination with warehouse personnel, assembly teams, transport drivers, and field supervisors to ensure continuous operational flow. QHSE Engineer

Responsibilities: Ensure that company QHSE policies, procedures and controls are always adhered to**.Establish, monitor and supervise proper Emergency Response Plans for company activities.** Develop, manage and improve company QHSE objectives, strategies, plans and performance in company activities and projects safely, on time, within budget and in accordance with regulations and standards. Oversee all department activities and serve as the primary point of contact for communicating all customer-specific requirements, manuals, and industry standards to the organization. Ensure that company HSE and Quality policies, procedures, and controls are consistently adhered to across all operations. Establish, monitor and supervise proper Emergency Response Plans for all company activities. Ensure prompt communication to customers in regards to all QA/QC activities and project updates. Supervise and provide leadership to both QA/QC and HSE personnel to ensure compliance and high performance. Support the Human Resources Department to ensure proper job training and requisite skill sets development for the workforce. Review, revise and write Quality and HSE procedures, work instructions, SOPs and forms as needed to ensure compliance to customer and regulatory requirements. Oversee, monitor and report QHSE activity and performance to ensure Management Plans are effectively implemented. Ensure safety and quality sections of the contract bid documents are complete and evaluate contractor information during the selection process. Serve as the point of contact for project coordinators with regards to QHSE plans, processes, agreements and progress updates. Reviews the issuance of Tool Approval Confirmations to the customer and all applicable internal personnel. Monitor, inspect and audit contractor engineering, construction or installation safety programs, safe work practices and quality standards. Oversee the Document Control System to ensure all technical and safety documentation is properly maintained. Directs or performs actions to support product containment as required to prevent customer exposure to nonconforming product. Recommend courses of action on safety mitigation and quality performance while remaining willing to travel domestically. Plan and facilitate training and continuous improvement activities in support of departmental and organizational needs. Provide expert safety, health, and quality information to the site team to ensure operational excellence. Requirements and qualifications: Minimum Bachelor Degree. Experience min 5 years as QA/ QC and HSE in oil and gas industry. Good knowledge on local and international QA/ QC and  HSE regulations/standards, HSE Management System, ISO . Experience in an ISO-9000/2015 and quality environment. Ability to conduct risk management and incident investigation & root causes. Proficient computer literacy, Ms Office and related HSE software. Excellent oral and written communication skills (Azerbaijani, English and Russian). Additional information: Working hours: Monday - Friday, 08:00 - 17:00, 5-day working week; extra work time after working hours and weekends if required completed with additional payment.
