Job Overview:

  • We are seeking an experienced Environmental & Social Manager to ensure effective implementation of environmental and social requirements across all project phases, including compliance with ESIA commitments, national regulations, and international lender standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead implementation of ESIA commitments (ESMP / ESAP) across all project phases

  • Ensure compliance with national legislation and international standards (IFC, lenders)

  • Coordinate with consultants, lenders, and regulatory authorities

  • Manage environmental permitting processes

  • Develop and implement environmental & social monitoring programs

  • Conduct audits, inspections, and ensure contractor compliance

  • Identify and manage environmental and social risks

  • Prepare reports for management, lenders, and authorities

  • Support stakeholder engagement and community relations

  • Deliver E&S training and awareness programs

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Science, Engineering, or related field

  • Minimum 5–7 years of relevant experience

  • Strong experience with ESIA / ESMP / ESAP implementation

  • Knowledge of IFC standards / Equator Principles

  • Experience in industrial / infrastructure / mining projects

  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills

  • Languages: Azerbaijani (required), English (fluent), Russian (preferred)

Additional:

  • NEBOSH / ISO 14001 certification is an advantage

  • Willingness to travel to project sites
