Senior Project Engineer

Countries Azerbaijan Location Baku The Senior Project Engineer will be responsible for providing technical and engineering support for multidiscipline construction activities during the execution of offshore topsides projects. The role includes coordination between engineering, construction, QA/QC, and client teams, ensuring that all works are executed in accordance with project specifications, applicable standards, and approved procedures. The position will also support planning, progress monitoring, Mechanical Completion, system handover, and resolution of technical issues to ensure safe, high-quality, efficient, and timely project delivery. Responsibilities Coordinate construction activities across structural, piping, mechanical, E&I, insulation, and HVAC disciplines, and ensure effective coordination with the engineering department. Review engineering deliverables, drawings, and technical specifications to ensure compliance with project requirements. Provide technical support to construction teams and manage field engineering issues. Act as a liaison between engineering, construction, QA/QC, and client representatives. Monitor project progress, identify risks, delays, and technical issues, and report them to the Construction Manager. Support constructability reviews and propose solutions to improve execution efficiency. Ensure compliance with Project Execution Plan, procedures, and applicable standards. Have a solid understanding of the Project Execution Plan and monitor site activities to ensure compliance, reporting any non-conformances to the Construction Manager. Participate in technical meetings and contribute to decision-making processes. Coordinate with subcontractors and vendors for technical matters. Ensure coordination between disciplines during Mechanical Completion and system handover processes, track progress, and report any issues to the Construction Manager. Track and follow up punch list items to ensure timely completion and closure. Take an active role and responsibility during platform load-out activities. Ensure all activities comply with project quality requirements and HSE regulations. Key Requirements Good English communication skills. Minimum 8–12 years of experience in oil & gas projects. Experience in topsides fabrication, construction, or engineering coordination. Strong understanding of multidiscipline engineering and construction processes. Senior Construction Engineer (Multidiscipline)

The role covers structural, piping, mechanical, E&I (Electrical & Instrumentation), insulation, and HVAC works and supports the preparation and execution of Mechanical Completion systems and system handover activities. The position ensures that construction activities are executed safely and efficiently in compliance with project specifications, applicable standards, and project HSE requirements. Responsibilities Maintain close communication with all disciplines while multidiscipline construction activities (structural, piping, mechanical, E&I, insulation, HVAC) are ongoing and support the Construction Manager in ensuring coordination between disciplines. Support fabrication yard activities related to offshore topsides fabrication, module assembly, and topside platform assembly. Provide technical support to construction teams to resolve field engineering issues and coordinate with the engineering department when required, ensuring effective communication between construction and engineering teams and improving constructability. Review drawings, engineering documents, and technical deliverables to verify compliance with project requirements. Support the Mechanical Completion process including: System completion tracking Construction walkdowns Punch list management Coordination with QA/QC and commissioning teams Monitor that construction activities are performed in accordance with the Project Execution Plan, approved procedures, and applicable codes and standards, and report any non-conformances to the Construction Manager. Monitor construction progress, identify technical risks, and recommend corrective actions where necessary. Coordinate with client representatives, engineering teams, and subcontractors to resolve technical queries and site challenges. Participate in constructability reviews and provide recommendations to improve efficiency and safety. Ensure all activities comply with project quality requirements and HSE regulations. Key Requirements Good English communication skills. Minimum 6–10 years of experience in construction within the oil & gas industry. Experience in offshore topsides fabrication and installation, module assembly, and load-out activities. The role will focus on monitoring and coordinating structural steel manufacturing, assembly, and installation activities to ensure production works are executed safely and efficiently in compliance with project specifications, approved drawings, and applicable standards. The position will also support production planning, progress monitoring, and coordination between fabrication teams and erection teams, QA/QC, and construction management. Responsibilities Support fabrication yard activities related to structural steel fabrication and assembly for offshore topsides modules. Monitor daily production activities, particularly steel structure fabrication, plate preparation, welding, fit-up, and structural assembly works. Support ensuring that all fabrication activities are performed in accordance with approved drawings, fabrication procedures, and project specifications, and report any non-conformances to the Structural HOD. Work in close coordination with structural fabrication teams, welding teams, QA/QC inspectors, and the engineering department. Review structural drawings and fabrication documents to verify compliance with project requirements and constructability. Assist in the preparation of production schedules and work plans for structural fabrication activities. Monitor fabrication progress and report production status to the Structural HOD. Identify fabrication constraints and propose solutions to improve production efficiency. Support coordination between fabrication shops and site teams during module assembly activities. Coordinate with the engineering department to resolve fabrication-related technical issues. Ensure all fabrication activities comply with project quality requirements and HSE regulations.
