Planning Engineer

This position is open to citizens of Azerbaijan due to local hiring regulations Work location: ISR Plaza Key Responsibilities: The Senior Structural Engineer shall be able to perform all forms of structural integrity calculations using a mixture of software packages (STAADPRO min and any other) and hand calculations. Develop the specification and design of engineering projects from initial concept through detail design, construction/installation and final close-out. Perform calculations for lifting, spreader beams, Padeyes. Be able to size structural sections for all design loads including walkways and platforms that support equipment loads. All to international standards such as AISC, API RP 2A. ABS rules, DNV rules. Be able to work on own initiative and analyses existing and new structures. Supervise, Advise and liaise with the Structural Discipline Design Team to ensure all design drawings and documents clearly reflect the agreed design philosophy and specification. Prepare all necessary design reports and work packs throughout the design development phase. To ensure that project materials and equipment have all necessary certification in accordance with the design and national specifications. Carry out offshore and onshore site surveys. Share experience and knowledge with new employees. Qualifications: Senior Structural Engineer shall have bachelor`s degree on relevant subjects such as Mechanical / Marine or civil and engineering and 10 years of experience (offshore experience required) within the Industry and in similar roles. Knowledge of STAAD PRO program. Carry out the offshore surveys required to establish initial data to initiate design/development activities. Prepare the Offshore Design Survey Report in association with the Lead Discipline Designer and Discipline Engineer. Develop and prepare all necessary design drawings, job cards and commissioning documentation in association with the Lead Discipline Designer and Discipline engineer. Assist in the preparation of all project related equipment and materials procurement documentation. Carry out inspections as required of onshore procured materials and fabricated items. Assist in the supervision of sub-contract installation personnel carrying out inspections, repairs and installation of process systems and structures, with regard to engineering projects. Attend scheduled trainings Share experience and knowledge with new employees Submit regular reports as per requirements of appropriate work related procedures Respect the confidentiality of work related information Qualificatins: The Senior Structural Designer shall have a bachelor degree on civil and structural engineering and hold a minimum of 5 years’ experience within the Industry and in similar roles. Responsibilities Lead and coordinate electrical design activities across multiple projects. Produce and review electrical deliverables including: Single line diagrams, wiring/termination diagrams, cable schedules Lighting, earthing, and small power layouts Electrical equipment and installation drawings Develop and maintain electrical models for cable routing, equipment placement, and clash detection. Integrate electrical models with other disciplines (piping, structural, instrumentation) in platforms such as SmartPlant 3D, AVEVA PDMS/E3D, or equivalent. Develop and prepare all necessary design drawings, (i.e. SLD, Block Diagrams, Cable tray routing, cable schedule, Lighting layouts) job cards and ITPs documentation in association with the Lead Discipline Designer and Discipline engineer. Assist in the preparation of all project related equipment and materials procurement documentation. Carry out inspections as required of onshore procured materials and fabricated items. Generate deliverables directly from 3D models where applicable. Participate in model reviews and provide constructability feedback. Ensure compliance with international codes, project specifications, and client SoW/SoR. Support site surveys, inspections, and as-built updates into deliverables. Mentor and guide junior designers in modeling practices. Ensure HSSE requirements are embedded in all design outputs. Accountabilities Reports to the Engineering Manager. Provides design leadership within the electrical discipline. Experience & Qualifications Minimum 5 years’ experience in electrical design for oil and gas projects. Strong background in CAD type environment Hands-on experience with 3D modeling software (e.g., SmartPlant 3D, AVEVA PDMS/E3D, Navisworks). Proven ability to prepare and check complex electrical design deliverables. Familiarity with international design standards (IEC, BS, IEEE, etc.). Experience with multidisciplinary 3D model integration and clash resolution. Degree or diploma in Electrical Engineering / Electrical Design (or equivalent experience).
