Role Synopsis:

  • The responsibilities of the Legal Director involve managing all the legal aspects of the company, ensuring full compliance with the laws and regulations, and protecting the interests of the organization. The function includes providing strategic advice to the management team, supporting the business operations, which involve manufacturing, procurement, human resources, sales, and trade, as well as mitigating the risks involved.

Key Accountabilities:

Legal Strategy & Advisory

  • Act as the principal legal advisor to the CEO and the executive leadership team

  • Provide strategic advice on various corporate and commercial matters

  • Support business growth initiatives, partnerships, and investments

Corporate Governance & Compliance

  • Oversee compliance with various laws, regulations, and industry standards

  • Oversee various aspects of corporate governance

  • Oversee the company’s relationship with various regulatory authorities

Contract Management

  • Manage the drafting, review, and negotiation of commercial contracts (suppliers, distributors, logistics, etc.)

  • Develop strong contract management processes

  • Manage risks and liabilities associated with commercial contracts

Litigation & Dispute Resolution

  • Manage all litigation, arbitration, and dispute resolution cases

  • Manage relationships with external counsel and control costs

  • Develop strategies to avoid or resolve disputes efficiently

Risk Management

  • Identify Legal Risks in various operational areas such as Manufacturing, Labor, Supply Chain, and Exports

  • Develop strategies and implement measures to mitigate the risks

  • Assist in insurance and liability-related matters

Labor & Employment Law

  • Assist in various Labor and Employment-related matters

  • Compliance with Labor Laws and Regulations

  • Assist in various Labor and Employment-related matters

Intellectual Property & Brand Protection

  • Protect company trademarks, designs, and other intellectual property

  • Protect against infringement risks and counterfeits

Team Leadership

  • Lead and develop the in-house legal team

  • Manage external legal advisors

  • Promote legal awareness within the organization

Desired background:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Law (LL.M. is desirable)

  • A minimum of 7-10 years of progressive experience in the field of law, preferably with exposure in:The manufacturing industry, International trade

  • A senior leadership position in a legal function, such as a Legal Director, Head of Legal, etc.

  • Good knowledge of commercial law, corporate law, labor law, etc.

Required skills:

  • Alignment of legal strategy with business strategy

  • In-depth knowledge of business processes and financial impact

  • Expertise in negotiating complex business deals

  • Capabilities in assessing and mitigating legal risks

  • Demonstrated capabilities in leading teams

  • Capabilities in explaining complex legal concepts in a business-friendly manner

  • Strong analytical and decision-making skills

  • Capabilities in influencing business leadership and working across functions

  • High level of accuracy and attention to detail

  • Azerbaijani and English – Fluent (spoken and written)

Role Synopsis: The role of the HR Business Partner (HRBP) is vital in ensuring that human resource strategy in the organization is linked with the business strategy of the company. As an advisor to line managers in the textile industry setting, the HRBP facilitates activities such as workforce planning, talent acquisition, performance management, employee engagement, and compliance. Key Accountabilities: Collaborate with business partners to identify their needs and formulate appropriate HR strategies to meet them Assist in implementing HR strategies that match organizational goals Advice on organization design, workforce optimization, and change management Manage workforce planning initiatives to achieve efficient staffing Facilitate and direct talent acquisition processes for operational and administrative positions Facilitate performance management processes such as goal setting, KPI formulation, and assessment Assist managers in conducting performance appraisals and giving continuous feedback Diagnose performance problems and suggest remedial measures Implement employee engagement activities to boost job satisfaction and reduce turnover Track employee satisfaction levels and suggest corrective actions Foster organizational values and a robust organizational culture Handling matters concerning employee relations, ensuring that the rules of the organization are implemented fairly and consistently Assisting in disciplinary actions, investigations, and conflict resolution Serving as a liaison between employees and management on work-related issues Monitor and evaluate HR metrics (turnover rate, absenteeism, productivity, etc.) Offer insight into management for decision making Assist continuous improvement efforts in HR activities Desired background: Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related discipline At least 7 to 10 years of growing experience in Human Resources, preferably within the Manufacturing, FMCG, Construction, or heavy industries Demonstrated knowledge in HRBP or equivalent position working in operation units Experience supporting blue-collar workforce environments is highly desirable Knowledge of labor laws and HR standards Required skills: Strong abilities in forming partnerships within business and managing stakeholders Good experience in employee relations, managing performance, and handling personnel relations Good analytical skills for interpreting HR information Problem-solving and conflict resolution skills High levels of integrity and confidentiality Good communication and interpersonal skills Azerbaijani and English – fluent (spoken and written) Working Conditions: Location: 2 Sulh Str., Sumgait, Azerbaijan Shuttle bus service (from 20 Yanvar) and lunch are provided Candidates meeting the below-stated criteria are requested to send their resumes/CVs to the e-mail address in the Apply for job button.
