JOB DUTIES:

  • Assistance towards the development of the DCS and ESD engineering discipline throughout the station and wider business.

  • Ensure competence levels are maintained in line with DCS  and ESD accreditation and ensure any deficiencies are identified and addressed through development plans.

  • Engineering, implementation and commissioning of plant improvements that require modification of the DCS and ESD systems, its code or process parameters; including owning and contributing to relevant scheme papers.

  • Engaging and assisting appropriate specialist engineering support, internal and external.

  • Providing technical support on a daily basis to the maintenance team. (fault diagnosis, rectification and improvement)

  • This will involve ‘hands-on’ engineering, the supervision of staff and is expected to involve an element of call-out support.

  • Setting the engineering standards to ensure station compliance with statutory and mandatory requirements in the following areas:

  • Process Safety for DCS and process control issues, Corporate Procedures

  • Responsibility for developing the plant asset strategies for DCS and ESD equipment, based upon safety and commercial risk assessment.

  • this will include, Routine inspections, Maintenance, Outages.

  • Critical spares management.

  • Management of budgets and contracts.

  • Provide instrumentation & control system engineering using appropriate Management of Change processes

  • Development and implement modifications of control system logic as required

  • Management of the schedule, and labor hour estimate for modification on plant

  • Participate in FAT

  • Review, evaluate, and advise DCS and ESD specifications and purchase requisitions

  • Reviews or sets design basis for abnormal operating conditions

  • Conduct troubleshooting on DCS and ESD system failures

  • Accountable for review PMs procedure and updates

  • Accountable for development DCS and ESD maintenance procedure

  • Accountable for  Developing process control strategies, writing functional and detailed design specifications.

  • Plan and implement strategies to maintain systems and avoid obsolescence.

  • Train and develop local specialist and junior staff providing both in class as well as in field

  • Provide support to training department as required in order to implement training program

  • Support field instrument and DCS personnel on troubleshooting

  • Support implementation routing activates

  • Support Operations and Maintenance in extending the use of DCS and ESD and bringing performance improvement and efficiencies to the business.

  • Conduct audits on systems, equipment and maintenance strategies to ensure compliance with internal standards and maintain audit readiness.

REQUIREMENTS:

  • 5 years of  experience in maintenance and projects

  • 5-6 years of   experience in Yokogawa DCS and ESD systems.

  • Technically competent as defined by the plant modification process.

  • Functional leadership of DCS and ESD  engineering technicians and craft support.

Location: Baku, Sumgait (based on audit plan) Job summary: This position is responsible for executing and providing supporting documentation to facilitate internal review of activities, including business processes, segregation of duties, procedures, and other global controls reviews; for performing internal audit engagement work schedule, work program, the audit cycle including the assistance in assessment of risks and control activities over the company operations’ effectiveness, reliability and compliance with all applicable directives and regulations. Job duties Participate in reviewing the organization’s risk profile and draft annual audit programs, assist in preparation of audit reports upon audit results, client responses, preparing of working papers according to the instruction of the Audit Team Leader. Provide professional day-to-day execution of internal audit engagements and projects in line with global auditing standards such as IIA (Institute Internal of Auditors). Ensure timely and effective closure of audit outcomes and support continual improvement within organization. Assisting in evaluation of the effectiveness of the internal controls and business processes designed to help management achieve operational, reporting, compliance, and strategic objectives. Make all required arrangements (meetings, checklists, presentations, drafting reports, CAP files, results template etc.) in respect to conducting planned and/or unplanned urgent audits. Gather all necessary information carrying data collection and data analysis for auditing purposes. Effectively communicate audit findings via meetings and email distributions with all required levels of the organization. Carry out periodical follow-up audits after each audit engagements at long-term and short-term. Prepare work progress schedules in collaboration with the employees of other departments to submit to Audit Team Leader. Maintain the Action Tracking Register with all relevant findings and current status and ensuring its timely updates. Provision of detailed quarterly statistical reports. Develop value added working relationships with process owners throughout all required levels of the organization and challenge existing methods of work and suggest suitable alternatives, aimed at process improvement. Keep the Audit Team Leader updated if any discrepancies are revealed in the Company’s activities (other than during audit engagements) and undertake appropriate remedy actions as instructed. Requirements Functional Coordinate with Audit Team Leader to assist in determination of engagement scope, work program and timelines. Plan and perform audits & advisory engagements such as operational, financial, compliance, process etc. audits. Analyzing the Corrective action plans proposed by audit clients in order to assess their effectiveness and reasonableness for the closure of related audit findings. Participate in audit meetings and coordinate internal and external audit activities upon demand. Develop process improvements to strengthen quality and effectiveness of processes. Interact with auditees to determine audit requirements. Identify areas of improvements and concerns during the audit. Drafting clear and complete reports of audit procedures and findings. Review and recommend improvements to business processes and internal controls. Develop risk models to access and mitigate potential risks. Maintain audit documentations according to established standards (internal audit related procedures). Effectively communicate audit findings via meetings and email distributions with all required levels of the organization. Provision of Statistical Reports, reports to the Audit Team Leader. Education and experience Minimum 2 years’ experience in internal audit department in local or multinational companies (oil and gas/petrochemical industry experience is preferred). Experience in auditing specific functions (e.g., procurement, finance, tax, operations, production) is required. Bachelor’s degree in economics, accounting and audit, finance, business administration or technical science/project management. Master’s degree is preferred. Certified Internal Audit (Part 1) under IIA (advantage) ACCA - Association of Certified Chartered Accountants (preferable) Strong understanding of Excel formulas for retrieving data efficiently using VLOOKUP, HLOOKUP, IF, SUMIF, COUNTIF, AVERAGEIF, MATCH, LEFT, RIGHT, INDEXMATCH, etc., and ability to create/troubleshoot complex formulas to automate calculations and data analysis. ISO 9001:2015 Internal Auditor Certificate (preferable) Advanced knowledge of Azerbaijani. Proficiency in English language, essential for writing audit reports, communicating with stakeholders and understanding company documentations. Knowledge of additional languages is an advantage.
