  • This role will be part of the Supply Chain Team, reporting to Procurement and Logistics Team Leader.

You and the role
The candidate will be responsible to provide safe and efficient Procurement and Logistics services to the warehouse, rig locations, projects, covering the functions of receipt, dispatch, handling, storage, disposals, and warehouse organization. The candidate will also be responsible for ensuring all materials, equipment and services are requisitioned and purchased to the requested specification, competitively priced and expedited for on schedule delivery. Where designated with responsibility, ensure all Azerbaijan Republic Customs Authority regulations are followed.

Primary responsibilities

  • Assist in planning and tracking shipments of final products according to internal and client requirements.

  • Communicate with external parties to achieve profitable deals and mutual satisfaction.

  • Maintain and manage delivery schedule. Arrange same-day deliveries whenever possible.

  • Assist in preparing accurate invoices and packaging lists for shipments and customs clearance.

  • Assist in organizing transportation activities and review transportation costs to keep working.

  • Ensure that all incoming and outgoing shipments are in line with local and international Customs Regulations.

  • Keep track of all incoming and outgoing customs declarations – permanent and temporary.

  • Ensure that all logistics tasks are processed with respect to technical requirements and in line with company policies, standards, procedures and defined processes.

  • Assist purchase team to ensure cost efficient and timely delivery of goods.

  • Report any Overage, Shortage, Damage or otherwise Non-Conforming consignments.

  • Prepare equipment mobilizations including related shipping documentation (e.g. Cargo Manifests, Cargo Summary Tickets etc.).

  • Prepare documents for line manager and client approval relating to Import and Export of materials and equipment in accordance with contractual requirements and Azerbaijan legislation.

  • Where required, issue Request for Quote (RFQ) to suppliers and evaluate quotations received for a wide range of materials, equipment and services.

  • Raise and commit Purchase Requisition and Purchase Orders (if required), within limits of financial authority and against duly approved requisitions, in a timely and cost-efficient manner.

  • Maximize savings and cost avoidance through negotiation, leveraging and utilization of surplus materials.

  • Ensure that all Republic of Azerbaijan Regulatory procedures are correctly followed with respect to purchase requirements.

  • Expedite outstanding Purchase Requisitions and Purchase Orders as and when required.

  • Process invoice queries in a timely manner, rectifying and updating system as necessary.

  • Where applicable, review and approve stock and asset requests in a timely manner ensuring purchasing information contained is complete and accurate.

Experience

  • Three to five years of related experience in purchasing and logistics is advantageous.

  • Experience in customer service or logistics operations (e.g., incoming shipments, customs clearance, handling dangerous goods, warehouse operations, inventory management) is desirable.

  • Knowledge of vendor sourcing practices (researching, evaluating, and liaising with vendors) is desirable.

  • SAP Skills are strong advantage.

  • Strong skill in being detail-oriented and organized.

  • Good communication, coordination, and organization skills.

  • Considerable negotiation and conflict management skills are desirable.

  • Ability to handle multiple priorities and react quickly to changing conditions.

  • Ability to accept direction from multiple levels of management.

  • Competence with SCM methodologies is desirable.

  • Well-organized, proactive, and a good communicator.

  • Self-discipline, mature attitudes and behaviours, respect and caring.

Minimum qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in a business or accounting-related field from an accredited university

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office with a focus on Excel (ability to work with reports and relevant functions) PowerPoint, and Word.

  • Power BI skills are desirable.

  • Knowledge of regulation and law (e.g., Incoterms).

  • Fluency in Azerbaijani and English languages (both verbal and written).

Key details about the role and the candidate The Storekeeper will report operationally to the Warehouse Supervisor and functionally to the Supply Chain Manager. The candidate will oversee the receipt, storage, and dispatch of goods and materials to ensure efficient supply chain operations. We are seeking an organized and safety-conscious individual with strong teamwork and communication skills, who can handle the logistics and warehousing functions in line with company standards. You and the role This role will be part of the Supply Chain Team, within the Warehouse Department, reporting to the Shipping and Materials Coordinator. The candidate will be responsible to provide safe and efficient logistics and warehousing services to rigs, projects, base departments etc., covering the functions of receipt, dispatch, handling, storage, disposals, yard organization and forklift operations (as and when required). Primary responsibilities Ensure all work is carried out in accordance with the Company’s Policies and Procedures with special focus on Quality, Health, Safety and Environmental issues. Ensure that all equipment and material handled is tagged and identified as necessary and stored / transported / managed in a safe and efficient manner. Operate all machinery, equipment, tools and materials in a safe and proper manner, reporting any deficiencies / defects or maintenance / repair requirements to Supervisor. Pack or unpack Cargo Container Units (CCU’s), supplier deliveries and other consignments. Check materials, mark, tag or label appropriately, distribute to relevant areas and ensure that the next function involved in the Supply Chain is aware of the presence of the material for action. Ensure that the logistics working environment is clean and tidy and that high standards of housekeeping and safety awareness are always maintained. Comply with all relevant PPE and other Safety-related requirements. Assist in general departmental or company activities as and when requested and agreed with line supervisors. Report any overage, shortage, damage or otherwise non-conforming consignments to line supervisors Distribute goods to relevant disposition (i.e. transit box, quarantine, dispatch, warehouse, yard storage, etc.) Assist in packing of CCU’s to relevant standards and guidelines. Prepare, pack and mark goods for repair / return / off-hire or storage in conjunction with relevant Materials Coordinator. Assist the Shipping & Materials Coordinator function as required during peak periods, absence etc. Experience Desirable: Experience in warehousing within the Oil and Gas or large process industry (petrochemical, pharmaceutical, utilities, CPG, or food). Advantageous: Experience within an equivalent role. Behaviour and Skills Basic knowledge of SCM policy, practice, procedure, and principles. Well-organized, proactive, and a good communicator. Ability to work effectively as part of a team. Commitment to safe working practices, policies, and legislation. Enthusiastic and hardworking. Minimum Qualifications Fluency in Azerbaijani language.
