Responsibilities:

  • Drafting complex agreements, contracts, memoranda, letters and other documents of legal nature.

  • Participating in negotiations and discussions concerning the legal issues.

  • Preparing legal opinions related to the matters arising out of and in connection with the contractual relations of the Company.

  • Constantly reviewing the legal documentation in relation to the projects of the Company and ensuring that the Company is fulfilling all of its obligations undertaken in the agreements in a timely manner.

  • Participating in the drafting of various loan facility agreements and other legal documentation in relation to debt raising.

  • Providing legal advice and support to the various management teams within the Company.

  • Coordinating the work with other counsels of the Company.

  • Performing any other task that may from time to time be assigned by the management.

Requirements:

  • University degree in law from an internationally reputable university.

  • Minimum 6 years of work experience as a lawyer or in related sphere.

  • Solid knowledge of English law and International law, good knowledge of Azerbaijani legislation.

  • Relevant Masters Degree in Law is advantage.

  • Fluent written and verbal English and Azerbaijani. Knowledge of any other foreign language, in addition to those listed is welcomed.

  • Experience in drafting complex legal agreements, including shareholders’ agreements, EPC contracts, M&A contracts and etc.

  • Experience in energy sector and in renewable energy project documents is advantage.

  • Knowledge of Commercial law, including Contract law, Corporate law and Taxation, Energy Law.

  • Good communication skills.

The role spans two complementary dimensions: (1) QA — developing and governing the Quality Management System, policies, procedures, audits, and continuous improvement processes; and (2) QC — directing and executing physical inspection, testing, and non-conformance management activities on project sites. The QA/QC Manager ensures that all project deliverables — from design through procurement, construction, commissioning, and handover — comply with applicable international standards, contractual requirements, and regulatory obligations. The role acts as the central quality authority for the project portfolio and directly supports the Project Director in achieving delivery excellence, protecting the organisation’s quality reputation, and safeguarding lender/investor confidence. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES Quality Management System (QMS) Development & Governance Develop, implement, and maintain the Project Quality Management Plan (QMP) in alignment with ISO 9001 and project-specific contractual and regulatory requirements. Establish quality policies, standards, procedures, and document control protocols applicable to solar PV, wind, BESS, and hybrid renewable energy projects. Define quality gates and hold points at key project milestones: design freeze, procurement, construction, pre-commissioning, commissioning, and handover. Ensure all project quality documentation is controlled, traceable, and retained in compliance with the document management system and lender requirements. Maintain an Approved Vendor / Manufacturer List (AVL/AML) for critical equipment and materials; conduct pre-qualification assessments of suppliers. Site Inspection & Testing Execute and supervise quality control inspections for all civil, structural, electrical, and mechanical works across project sites including solar PV arrays, wind turbines, MV/HV substations, cable works, and BESS installations. Witness and formally sign off hold points and witness points defined in Contractor and Subcontractor ITPs; ensure no work proceeds past a hold point without authorised sign-off. Perform material receiving inspections; verify traceability, material certifications, conformance with approved submittals, and compliance with project specifications. Conduct pre-pour, pre-backfill, pre-grouting, pre-termination, and other critical hold point inspections; document findings with photographic and written evidence. Witness Factory Acceptance Tests (FAT) and Site Acceptance Tests (SAT) for major equipment including transformers, inverters, switchgear, and BESS modules. Audit, Review & Compliance Plan and execute internal quality audits of project processes, EPC and subcontractor activities, and supply chain performance; issue formal audit reports with findings and recommendations. Review and approve Contractor/Vendor Quality Plans, ITPs, method statements, and inspection procedures prior to commencement of associated works. Coordinate third-party inspection agencies and Owner’s Engineer quality oversight activities; manage their access, scope, and deliverables. Ensure compliance with lender/investor technical requirements, environmental standards, and applicable grid authority requirements. Support technical due diligence and independent engineer review processes by providing quality documentation, audit findings, and NCR status reports. Non-Conformance & Corrective Action Management Issue, track, and close Non-Conformance Reports (NCRs) across all project work packages; ensure timely corrective action by contractors and formal re-inspection prior to closure. Lead root cause analysis (RCA) investigations for quality failures and systemic non-conformances; drive Corrective and Preventive Action (CAPA) implementation and verify effectiveness. Escalate unresolved or critical non-conformances to the Project Director with supporting evidence and proposed disposition. Maintain a lessons-learned register and ensure findings are embedded in future project quality planning and execution. Quality Documentation & Reporting Maintain accurate and current inspection records, site quality dossiers, red-line drawings, material traceability registers, and test certificates for each work package. Prepare and issue weekly and monthly QC/QA status reports, NCR logs, ITP compliance summaries, and audit findings to the Project Management team and senior leadership. Define and monitor quality KPIs for the project portfolio; report trends and recommend corrective interventions proactively. Compile and verify Mechanical Completion (MC) and pre-commissioning dossiers; ensure Quality Dossiers (As-Built Documentation) are complete and verified prior to COD and client handover. Commissioning & Project Closeout Coordinate with the Commissioning Manager to ensure all QC sign-off requirements are fulfilled before each energisation and commissioning milestone. Review and verify that all punch list items are formally resolved and documented prior to each system or package handover. Ensure planning and quality activities support Commercial Operation Date (COD) and contractual milestone obligations. Lead quality lessons-learned documentation at project closeout; disseminate findings across the Project Delivery Department. Stakeholder & Interface Management Liaise with clients, lenders, regulatory authorities, and third-party verifiers on quality compliance, milestone certification, and audit outcomes. Support Lender’s Independent Engineer and Owner’s Engineer site visits; provide quality records and accompany during site and document inspections. Coordinate with procurement and logistics teams to integrate supplier quality requirements, material release procedures, and inspection hold points into purchasing processes. Attend and actively contribute to project progress meetings, pre-construction planning meetings, design reviews, and quality review sessions. Team Leadership & Capacity Building Lead, manage, and develop the site QA/QC team including QC Inspectors, QA/QC Engineers, and the quality document controller. Foster a proactive, site-wide quality culture; deliver quality awareness inductions and targeted training sessions for project and contractor personnel. Mentor junior quality staff and support their professional development within the department. Participate in project kick-off meetings, HAZOP/HAZID reviews, and constructability reviews to embed quality requirements from project inception. QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE Educational Requirements Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Electrical, Mechanical, Civil, or related technical field). (Required) Master’s degree in Engineering Management, Project Management, or Quality Management. (Preferred) ISO 9001 Lead Auditor Certification — Advantage for this role. PMP (PMI) or PRINCE2 Practitioner certification. (Preferred) Certified Quality Inspector / Engineer (CQI, ASQ CQE, or equivalent). (Preferred) OSHA / NEBOSH Safety Certification. (Preferred) Work Experience Minimum 8–10 years of experience in quality management and quality control, with at least 5 years (preferred)  in the renewable energy sector (solar PV, wind, BESS, or hybrid systems) Demonstrated experience developing and managing QMS frameworks on EPC-delivered projects with a contract value of AZN 50M+. Proven hands-on experience executing ITPs, managing NCRs, and witnessing FAT/SAT activities on large-scale renewable energy projects. Experience managing quality across multi-disciplinary, multi-contractor project environments including civil, electrical, and mechanical interfaces. Experience with High-Voltage (MV/HV) electrical systems, transformer inspections, and substation QC is a strong advantage. Prior experience in international or cross-border renewable energy projects is advantageous. Technical Skills In-depth knowledge of ISO 9001 quality management principles, audit methodology, and QMS documentation. Familiarity with renewable energy technical standards: IEC 62446 (solar PV commissioning and testing), IEC 61400 (wind turbines), IEC 62933 (BESS), IEEE substation standards, and applicable national grid codes. Practical knowledge of construction inspection methods, torque verification, concrete testing, and electrical insulation/continuity testing. PURPOSE OF THE ROLE The Planning Manager is responsible for leading and managing all project planning, scheduling, and progress monitoring activities across renewable energy projects (solar PV, wind, hydropower, energy storage, and hybrid systems) within the Project Delivery Department. The role ensures that robust, integrated master schedules are developed, maintained, and communicated to all stakeholders, enabling timely delivery within scope, budget, and quality parameters. The Planning Manager acts as the central scheduling authority for the project portfolio and directly supports the Project Director in driving execution excellence. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES Schedule Development & Management Develop, baseline, and maintain Level 1, Level 2, and Level 3 integrated master schedules for utility-scale and distributed renewable energy projects using Primavera P6 and/or MS Project. Define Work Breakdown Structures (WBS), activity logic, durations, resource assignments, and critical path for all project phases: development, permitting, procurement, construction, commissioning, and handover. Coordinate with multi-disciplinary teams (engineering, procurement, construction, HSE, commissioning) to gather inputs and ensure schedule alignment. Manage schedule interfaces between EPC contractors, sub-contractors, equipment vendors, and client teams. Issue monthly and milestone-based schedule updates to project and executive stakeholders. Progress Monitoring & Reporting Track physical progress against baseline and report Earned Value Management (EVM) metrics including SPI, SV, and forecast completion dates. Assess the schedule impact of variations, changes, and delay events; prepare Time Impact Analyses (TIA) and support claims management. Planning Systems & Tools Establish and enforce project scheduling standards, procedures, and templates across the project portfolio.
