Metering and Instrumentation Engineer (Hardware)

The Software Engineer provides L3 expert-level support for Smart Gas AMI applications and integrations, ensuring availability, performance, security, and end-to-end data integrity across HES, MDMS, AMI Portal, APIs, dashboards, and enterprise integrations. This role serves as the primary technical escalation point for Azerigaz regarding application, data, and integration matters, ensuring SLA compliance, system stability, and billing-grade data accuracy throughout the 10+3 Year O&M lifecycle.

The Shift Engineer is responsible for the 24x7 Command & Control Room operations, serving as the primary L2 operational authority. This role encompasses the monitoring, triaging, ticket management, validation, and closure of all operational incidents related to smart gas meters, retrofit modules, EVCs, sensors, gateways, communication networks, and AMI applications. The Shift Engineer ensures compliance with Service Level Agreements (SLAs), maintains data integrity, system stability, and guarantees continuous service availability. Furthermore, this position acts as the initial formal operational interface with Azerigaz for incident visibility and coordination, utilizing approved communication channels.

The Reporting Analyst is responsible for end-to-end operational, SLA, KPI, and performance reporting for the Smart Gas Grid O&M program. This role ensures data-driven governance, transparency, and audit readiness by consolidating information from the AMI O&M Portal, HES, MDMS, WFM, Billing, and analytics platforms to support Azerigaz and Esyasoft management decision-making. Operational & SLA Reporting Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly operational reports covering: Track SLA adherence by issue category, region, contractor, and resolution layer (L2/L3). Highlight SLA breaches, repeat failures, and systemic risks. KPI & Performance Analytics Maintain and publish approved KPIs Support performance scorecards for Control Room, Field Teams, Telco, OEMs, and vendors. Data Consolidation & Validation Dashboard Management Maintain operational dashboards (Power BI / or analytics platforms) Management & Regulatory Reporting Prepare executive summaries for Azerigaz and Esyasoft leadership. Support regulatory, audit, and compliance reporting requirements. Provide trend analysis and insights for continuous improvement initiatives. Continuous Improvement & Predictive Insights Analyze RCA trends and recurring fault patterns. Support predictive maintenance analytics by providing historical insights and trend correlations. Recommend reporting enhancements and automation opportunities. Qualification: Bachelor’s degree in engineering, Electrical, Electronics, Data Analytics, Information Systems, or a related discipline. 2+ years of experience in utility operations reporting, analytics, or performance management. Experience with smart metering, AMI, or large-scale infrastructure projects preferred. Strong proficiency in Power BI, Excel (advanced), dashboards, and reporting tools. Understanding of AMI, MDMS, HES, ticketing systems, and SLA/KPI frameworks. Ability to work with large datasets and multiple data sources. Strong analytical and presentation skills, high attention to detail and data accuracy, and the ability to communicate insights clearly to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
