Logistics Specialist

Role Overview:

• PRIME LOGISTICS, is fast growing freight forwarding company in the International Logistics company, is seeking a highly experienced and detail-oriented Logistics Specialist to optimize our daily logistics operations. This role is essential for ensuring efficient transportation, warehousing, and distribution of materials while maintaining cost-effectiveness and compliance with industry standards.

Main responsibilities:

• Develop and implement logistics strategies to ensure timely and cost-effective delivery of goods and materials.

• Manage and optimize transportation routes, warehouse operations, and inventory control to enhance efficiency.

• Coordinate with global agents, truckers, shipping lines, airlines and customs authorities to ensure smooth shipment processing.

• Oversee import/export operations, ensuring compliance with international trade regulations and local laws.

• Monitor and analyze logistics performance metrics, identifying areas for improvement and cost savings.

• Collaborate with customers’ procurement, sales, and project teams to align logistics plans with business needs.

• Negotiate contracts with transportation providers and warehouse operators to secure favorable terms.

• Address and resolve logistical challenges, including delays, damages, and supplier issues.

• Ensure all logistics activities adhere to safety, quality, and environmental regulations.

• Prepare and present reports on logistics operations, performance trends, and cost analysis to senior management.

Requirements

• Minimum 3 years of experience in freight forwarding and logistics, supply chain, or transportation management;

• Strong knowledge of customs clearance procedures, import/export regulations, and international freight operations.

• Fluent spoken and written English skills;

• Experience with ERP systems and logistics management software is preferred;

• Advanced skills in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook);

• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and negotiation skills;

• Ability to work under pressure and meet strict deadlines

Working conditions:

• Location: Baku city

• Sector: International Logistics of Containers from Country to Country

• Work Schedule: Monday to Friday, 5 working days per week;

• Working hours: 3 p.m. – 02 a.m. (at the office and online)

• Lunch time in the office – 1 hour
