Junior Tax Specialist

UHY LLC is seeking a motivated and qualified Junior Tax Specialist for the Tax Team, with a degree in Accounting, Finance or Taxation. We offer a stimulating and rewarding work environment, fostering teamwork and a healthy work-life balance.

Responsibilities:

• Assist in the preparation of schedules necessary for completing tax returns

• Assist in gathering and organizing information needed in the conduct of various state and local tax audits including but not limited to sales and use, income, and property

• Assist in gathering and organizing information needed in the conduct of an tax audit

• Review of documents and posting of entries in Accounting System/General Ledger

• Collect data and prepare daily, weekly and monthly reports

• Administration of e-tax account

• Prepare and follow up on payments to suppliers within the Accounting System

• Prepare client invoices in compliance with approved procedures

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance or a related field

• Relevant work experience is an advantage

• Knowledge of local tax legislation

• Knowledge of 1C accounting software is an advantage

• Candidates with ACCA papers (F3 at least) are an advantage

• Excellent knowledge of MS Office, especially Excel

• Thorough understanding of general accounting principles

• Ability to research, learn and analyze applicable tax law rules and regulations
