Group Reporting Manager

As we expand our presence in Azerbaijan, we are seeking a Group Reporting Manager will be responsible for day-to-day bookkeeping, accounting entries, reconciliations, and financial record maintenance for multiple group entities. The role will support the Group Reporting Manager in ensuring that accounting records are accurate, complete, properly documented, and aligned with IFRS and internal group reporting requirements.

Job responsibilities

• Perform day-to-day bookkeeping for assigned HQ and group entities.

• Record accounting transactions, including supplier invoices, customer invoices, bank transactions, accruals, prepayments, provisions, payroll-related entries, and intercompany transactions.

• Maintain accurate general ledger records for approximately 10 entities.

• Prepare monthly bank reconciliations and account reconciliations.

• Support month-end and year-end closing activities.

• Prepare accruals, prepayments, depreciation entries, reclassifications, and other month-end adjustments.

• Maintain fixed asset registers and support depreciation calculations.

• Reconcile intercompany balances and coordinate with related parties to resolve differences.

• Support preparation of trial balances, financial schedules, and reporting packs.

• Assist the Group Reporting Manager with IFRS-based reporting and consolidation inputs.

• Ensure accounting records are properly supported by invoices, contracts, approvals, bank statements, and other documentation.

• Support VAT, tax, audit, and statutory reporting requirements where applicable.

• Assist with external audit requests by preparing schedules, reconciliations, and supporting documents.

• Maintain proper filing and documentation for accounting records.

• Identify unusual transactions, posting errors, or accounting inconsistencies and escalate them to the Group Reporting Manager.

• Support improvements in bookkeeping quality, closing timelines, and accounting processes.

Qualification & Experience:

• Solid bookkeeping and general ledger accounting experience.

• Experience managing accounting records for multiple entities is preferred.

• Good understanding of IFRS principles and ability to apply them in day-to-day accounting.

• Experience with accruals, prepayments, intercompany transactions, reconciliations, fixed assets, and month-end closing.

• Ability to prepare clean schedules and supporting documentation for reporting and audit purposes.

• Strong Excel skills.

• Experience with ERP/accounting systems; SAP experience is an advantage, and SAP S/4HANA experience is an additional plus.

• Prior experience in a group, holding company, shared service, audit, or multi-entity environment would be an advantage.

• Full working proficiency in English language
