Economic Affairs & Market Analysis Officer (m/f/d)

To support our growing team, we are seeking a committed Economic Affairs & Market Analysis Officer with strong analytical and strategic skills to help deepen German-Azerbaijani economic ties.

Key Responsibilities

• Research, analysis, and structured preparation of information on industries, market conditions, relevant stakeholders, economic policy developments, government strategies and instruments, and macroeconomic data

• Identification, assessment and continuous monitoring of market needs in Azerbaijan, particularly in the focus sectors: energy, digitalization, food & agriculture, transport & logistics and water management

• Developing and drafting concepts for economic dialogue formats (e.g. events, delegation trips, working groups) as well as organization and implementation of those.

• Coordination of AHK working groups, including the preparation and documentation of meetings. Translating the resulting strategies and roadmaps into action.

• Contribution to the content design of strategic AHK projects with economic relevance and therefore collaborate with internal departments

Your Profile

• University degree in Political Science, Economics, International Relations, or related fields

• At least 3 years of relevant professional experience, ideally in an international, economic, or policy-related environment

• Strong analytical and conceptual skills; ability to structure complex information clearly

• Experience in preparing reports, policy briefs, or concept papers

• Excellent command of English (written and spoken); knowledge of German is an asset

• Independent and well-organized work style with a collaborative mindset and hands-on mentality

• Strong interest in international economic relations and cross-cultural cooperation
