Role Synopsis:

  • The CFO is responsible for the overall financial leadership, governance, and strategic financial management of GiLTEX LLC, a leading textile manufacturing company in Azerbaijan. This role ensures financial stability, transparency, and sustainable growth of the business through effective financial planning, control, risk management, and performance analysis.

  • The CFO plays a critical role in supporting executive decision-making, optimizing industrial cost structures, managing large-scale manufacturing finances, and ensuring compliance with statutory, regulatory, and corporate governance requirements. The position requires deep expertise in industrial and manufacturing finance, including cost accounting, capital expenditure management, working capital optimization, and financial controls in a complex production environment.

Key Accountabilities:

Financial strategy & leadership

  • Develop and implement the company’s financial strategy in line with overall business objectives and long-term growth plans.

  • Act as a strategic partner to the CEO and executive team, providing financial insights to support operational and investment decisions.

  • Provide clear financial guidance to production, commercial, supply chain, and support functions.

Financial planning, budgeting & forecasting

  • Lead the annual budgeting, forecasting, and long-term financial planning processes.

  • Ensure accurate financial projections reflect production volumes, capacity utilization, cost drivers, and market conditions.

  • Monitor budget execution and provide variance analysis with clear corrective recommendations.

Industrial cost control & performance management

  • Establish and oversee robust cost accounting systems for textile manufacturing operations (yarn, weaving, knitting, dyeing, garment production).

  • Analyze and control manufacturing costs, including raw materials, labor, energy, overheads, and depreciation.

  • Support productivity improvement, margin enhancement, and cost-optimization initiatives across all production units.

  • Monitor unit economics, product profitability, and contribution margins.

Financial reporting & compliance

  • Ensure timely, accurate, and transparent financial reporting in accordance with applicable accounting standards and local regulations.

  • Oversee preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements for management and the Supervisory Board.

  • Ensure compliance with tax, statutory, and regulatory requirements.

  • Manage internal and external audits and ensure implementation of audit recommendations.

Cash flow, working capital & treasury management

  • Manage cash flow planning, liquidity, and funding requirements.

  • Optimize working capital, including inventory, receivables, and payables management.

  • Oversee banking relationships, financing arrangements, guarantees, and credit facilities.

Capital expenditure & investment management

  • Lead financial evaluation of capital investments related to machinery, technology upgrades, modernization, and capacity expansion.

  • Conduct ROI, NPV, and payback analyses for industrial investment projects.

  • Monitor execution and financial performance of approved capex projects.

Risk management & internal controls

  • Identify financial, operational, and commercial risks and implement appropriate mitigation measures.

  • Establish and maintain strong internal control systems and financial policies.

  • Ensure segregation of duties, approval frameworks, and compliance with corporate governance standards.

Required qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field.

  • Professional qualifications such as ACCA, CPA, CIMA, or equivalent are strongly preferred.

  • MBA or Master’s degree in Finance / Management is an advantage.

Required professional experience:

  • Minimum 15+ years of progressive experience in finance roles, preferably within large industrial or manufacturing companies.

  • At least 7–10 years in a senior financial leadership role (CFO, Finance Director, or equivalent).

  • Strong hands-on experience in industrial cost accounting and manufacturing finance.

  • Proven track record in managing complex budgets, CAPEX projects, and financial controls in production-driven environments.

  • Experience working with ERP systems and advanced financial reporting tools.

Required skills and competencies:

  • Strong strategic and analytical thinking with a deep understanding of industrial economics.

  • Excellent financial modelling, forecasting, and decision-support skills.

  • High level of integrity, accuracy, and attention to detail.

  • Strong leadership and stakeholder management capabilities.

  • Ability to operate effectively in a fast-paced, operationally intensive manufacturing environment.

  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to explain financial matters to non-financial managers.
