Position Overview Planning Engineer is responsible for developing, monitoring, and updating project schedules to ensure timely and efficient execution of project activities. They coordinate with project teams, track progress, analyze delays, and provide forecasts to support informed decision-making. The role ensures that projects are delivered on time, within scope, and aligned with contractual and organizational requirements. Key Responsibilities Develop and maintain project schedules using Primavera P6 and MS Project. Set timeline structures aligned with contract requirements, deliverables, and milestones. Break down project scope into clear activities for engineering, procurement, construction, and commissioning. Create and update CPM networks, bar charts, and time-phased schedules. Review construction methods to confirm logical sequencing and workflow. Attend the tender process and support bid preparation by reviewing tender schedules, timelines, and assumptions, and providing planning input during pre-bid and clarification stages. Coordinate with engineering, procurement, site teams, and subcontractors to collect durations and dependencies. Gather and integrate manpower, equipment, and material data into the schedule. Participate in coordination meetings and provide time-related insights for decision-making. Validate reported progress to ensure project schedules and reports accurately reflect actual site conditions and execution status. Monitor progress against the baseline and identify risks, slippages, and critical path issues. Perform schedule variance analysis and support development of acceleration or recovery plans. Identify and immediately report any inactivity, delays, or inefficiencies that may impact project performance or resource utilization. Monitor procurement schedules and key project control logs, including submittals (SDs), material approval requests (MARs), notices for information (NFIs), and nonconformance reports (NCRs). Deliver routine schedule updates, dashboards, and performance reports to management. Prepare weekly/monthly progress reports, look-ahead plans, and performance summaries. Maintain accurate records of schedule updates, assumptions, and progress data for claims and documentation. Requirements Qualifications and Experience Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Civil, Mechanical, Industrial, or related field). Minimum 3–5 years of relevant experience as a Planning Engineer in construction or project-based environments. Technical Skills Strong proficiency in Primavera P6 and/or MS Project, AutoCAD, MS Office. Solid understanding of project management principles and EPC workflows. Core Competencies Strong attention to detail and accuracy, with good problem-solving. Effective negotiation, communication, and organizational abilities. Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively. Skills to plan, delegate, and evaluate progress toward project goals. Language Proficiency Fluency in Azerbaijani and good command of English is required. Position Overview Mechanical Engineer is responsible for the design, installation, testing, and commissioning of mechanical systems in building projects, ensuring that they meet project requirements, are energy efficient, and comply with relevant codes and standards. This role collaborates with other engineering disciplines, contractors, and clients to deliver high-quality mechanical systems for residential, commercial, and industrial projects. Key Responsibilities Prepare and review detailed designs, specifications, load calculations, equipment selection, and system sizing for Heating, Ventilation, and Air Conditioning (HVAC), plumbing, and piping systems, ensuring compliance with project requirements and design intent. Review contractor material submittals and subcontractor proposals from a technical standpoint. Support and contribute to the tender process through technical assessments and clarification responses. Review tendered mechanical designs and identify potential risks, gaps, or value-engineering opportunities. Identify and assess potential cost variations arising from contractor claims or design changes. Coordinate mechanical work with other MEP disciplines, architects, structural engineers, and consultants. Review and approve method statements and shop drawings for compliance with approved designs. Conduct regular site inspections to ensure works comply with approved drawings, specifications, and schedules. Witness mechanical testing activities, including pressure tests and duct leakage tests. Review testing, commissioning, and performance results, providing feedback to the Project Team. Maintain and track mechanical defects and ensure timely contractor rectification and snagging closure. Prepare and issue site/engineer’s instructions related to mechanical services as required. Coordinate with the document controller to ensure proper filing and control of MEP documentation. Requirements Qualifications and Experience Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering or related field. Minimum of 5 years of proven experience in a similar role within construction (preferably in fit-out work) or project-based environments. Technical Skills Proficiency with MS. Office, AutoCAD, or Revit. Strong knowledge of building codes, safety regulations, and energy efficiency standards. Core Competencies Strong attention to detail and accuracy, with excellent problem-solving and analytical skills. Excellent organizational and time-management skills. Proactive, solution-oriented, and able to drive continuous improvement. Ability to prioritize tasks, multitask, and meet deadlines efficiently. Language Proficiency Fluency in Azerbaijani is required.
